A video work created for the 2014 Grotto Project: Art and the Expanded Cover Version, 23-24 May 2014, University of Newcastle, curated by Sean Lowry.

This piece brings together a “cover” of Ecce lignum crucis/Crux fidelis by Renaissance composer Adrian Willaert (c.1490 - 1562) and specific events from the nineteenth century local history of Maitland, New South Wales, to present a “musical riddle” that has an impossibly obscure answer.
